Vancouver Friendship Partners Plant Seeds
Our annual Friendship Partner picnic at Belcarra Regional Park in the Vancouver BC area was so inspiring this year! We were low on the number of Canadians who could make it with their student friend, so opened it up to any student that wanted to come. The response was very enthusiastic! The Friendship Partners who did come got a taste of how much their involvement meant to these internationals. After a BBQ and sports on the lawn we gathered for a time of sharing impacts of the program. A visitor wistfully commented how good this would have been for her when she was an international student many years ago. Many students jumped right up to praise their Canadian friends for making such a difference to their life here. A lady from my church saw the significance of ‘planting seeds’ of God’s love through this interaction and was so grateful to have gotten involved. We thank the Lord for such a good event!
