 We are an evangelical protestant Christian organization working on the campuses in Ottawa.  On Campus we are a recognized club known as ‘Friends Around the World’ but we are a part of an National Evangelical Protestant Christian Association called ‘International Student Ministries Canada’ which defines us as a club with a religious purpose.

As Christians we offer friendship to International students, introducing them to (wholesome) aspects of our Canadian culture, but our main purpose is to show the love of God in a practical way, through our Christian lifestyle (defined by our faith and our interpretation of the Scriptures,) helping them in ways we are able to, and offering Bible study and english conversation using the Bible as a text. All international students are made aware that we are Practicing and committed Christians, and are made aware of our program to offer Bible study and english using the Bible as a text and therefore are free to choose to participate or not participate in the programs which have religious teaching. Students of all faiths and all nationalities are welcome to join our activities and can be assured that we will not subject them to a religious message except when previously advertised in our poster for the event that there will be a Christian message. Because we are a Christian club (defined as Evangelical Protestant Christians), we ask that all volunteer helpers be in agreement with our faith and practices if they wish to be a helper in our club activities.

We have a need for many volunteers  to help us in the various aspects of the program, and to make the experience of the Students in our country, an enjoyable rewarding experience.  We have a need for volunteers to drive the students to the monthly events, prepare meals, practice english with the students, be a Friendship Partners to the International students and help them feel welcome and learn about the culture of Canada. Whether you are young or old, we can use your help..
