Purpose:
ISMC is made up of a community of career and administrative staff. Fellowshipping together as servants of Christ we are encouraged to share one another’s burdens. From time to time one of our colleagues may require an added measure of encouragement and/or financial help. The purpose of this club is to provide a financial gift to one of ours in need at a time that it would be an appropriate gesture of love.
We are praying that 100 people across Canada will provide a $30.00 gift once every 3 months as a member of the ISMC Encouragers Club. The total annual commitment is $120.00 per participant. This will allow us to direct a gift of $3,000.00 to a different needy staff member 4 times yearly.
Program policies:
An account has been set up to receive gifts which will be disbursed quarterly to an agreed upon career staff member using the following criteria:
- The recipient shall be a career staff person who has not received the encouragement gift in the past 24 months
- The recipient shall be known by the ISMC administrative staff as having financial need
- The recipient (administrative and salaried staff included) shall be selected and agreed upon unanimously by the ISMC administrative team
- The amount of the gift shall not exceed $3,000.00
- Should there be a surplus in the account, in any given quarter after the maximum gift has been disbursed it shall be left up to the ISMC administrative team to decide whether to disburse the remainder to a second staff member or to retain the balance for the following quarter.
