Rebuilding a Toronto Welcome

Airport Welcome by ISMC Toronto

Airport Welcome by ISMC Toronto

For everything there is a season.  Five years ago, the ISMC Toronto team began dimishing in size even as the number of international students in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) was growing.  Time and prayers were invested, but results seemed not to come.

Sept 2016, Alexander Best (of Lausanne Canada), caught the vision of inviting churches and ministries together to reach out to the vast and growing number of foreign students landing in Toronto.  Thanks to his efforts, ISMC has been able to welcome three new dynamic staff  to the Toronto team.

But that's Just the beginning... the exciting part of the story is coming...

Three weeks ago, this new ISMC Toronto team (with the help of PRISM, OMF, Serve Toronto, Christ the King Church, Pearson Airport Chaplaincy and more) set up a Welcome Booth by the arrivals gate at Pearson Airport to give international students local info, a warm smile, and contact information for future reference as they figure out how to settle in a new country.

Thanking my prayer and financial donors for empowering me (VP, Personnel) to process the applications of these three fantastic staff!  To God be the glory!
