I came to Canada when I was 17 without my parents as an international student. I struggled with loneliness as a foreigner and as a young person. I struggled to find the purpose of my life in a foreign country. In my second year of college, I became a Christian. Knowing that I am forgiven to forgive and blessed to be a blessing changed my life. My heart is satisfied with the love of Christ and I know that I am in God’s good hands. Instead of living for my own good and success, I have now committed my life to God’s plan.

I thank God for bringing me to Canada and allowing the struggles I had as an international student so that I can understand and share the love of Christ with the students I now encounter. I'm serving international students on SFU and FIC (International Students College in SFU) campus as a full-time staff of ISMC. Also, I work together with New Westminster Christin Reformed Church and its ministry with international students.  My husband, David Shen, whom I met from SFU FOCUS Club (International students club organized by ISMC staffs) and I live on SFU campus since we married in 2014.  Our prayer is to empower students through the love of Christ to impact the world.

After I finished one-year of internship with ISMC in 2012, I became associate staff with ISMC in 2013. Since 2016, I am serving international students with ISMC as a full-time staff. I cannot do this alone. Please prayerfully consider to join the team and support me financially.
